Cress, also known as peppergrass or garden cress is used in salads and sandwiches as a baby green and adds a peppery flavor as well as texture. It is originally from China. The seedlings can be harvested as sprouts after 6 to 8 days or grown to maturity. To harvest seeds, allow seedheads to dry on the plants, then remove.
